Found a raccoon family in a flue in Cincinnati yesterday

I was doing a routine inspection on a brick chimney and heard scratching, so I popped the cap with my camera. A full grown raccoon and three kits were staring right back at the lens, and the mom hissed so loud my helper dropped his flashlight. What's the best way to handle an animal eviction without getting the city involved?

My buddy had a possum in his attic and used a radio on talk shows.
