Dropped $60 on a telescoping rod kit and it saved my back on steep roofs

I usually fight with extension poles that wobble, but this kit with a locking collar from Grainger actually held steady at full reach, has anyone else tried those or do you just stick with the standard poles?

Heard a roofer say those Grainger collars actually hold up, might be worth a shot.

Yeah I read somewhere those collars are actually made from the same rubber as commercial roof boots, just cut different. @seanjohnson your roofer buddy isn't wrong - a guy on a roofing forum said he's had them on a flat roof for 4 years with zero leaks. The trick is getting the seal right around the pipe, but the material itself is solid.
