An old timer at the diner made me see brush angles different
Ran into a retired sweep named Hank at the truck stop diner off I-40, he said he always curved his rods going into a flue, never straight, to avoid chipping the liner at the bend in the throat. I tried it on a job Tuesday with a tight 8x8 tile setup and it went smoother than any straight push I've done in 15 years. Anyone else pick up tricks from guys who worked before rotary brushes were everywhere?
