Showerthought: the regular who sent back his soup 3 times then asked for my recipe
Had a guy at my place in Louisville send back his French onion soup three times on a slow Tuesday, first too salty, then not salty enough, then too hot. When he finally ate it he waved me over and asked for the recipe, dead serious, like the three send backs never happened. I gave him the basic steps but left out the part where I caramelize the onions for 90 minutes because I knew he would not do it. He came back two weeks later and complained his version tasted nothing like mine. How do you all handle folks who want the recipe right after making you remake the dish twice?
