Rant: I picked the $400 Vitamix over the $150 Ninja for my soup purées and now I'm second guessing myself
Last Tuesday I had to decide between dropping $400 on a refurb Vitamix or $150 on a Ninja for the butternut squash soup we run as a special every fall at the restaurant I work at in Portland. I went with the Vitamix because the rep swore the motor wouldn't burn out on hot liquids, but three weeks in the blade assembly already feels loose and I'm wondering if I just paid for the name. Has anyone else had a refurb unit fail this fast, or did I just get a bad one?
