Just read that a pinch of salt is about 1/8 of a teaspoon, not just a random grab

I found it in an old textbook from culinary school I was cleaning out. It made me realize I've been eyeballing it for years without knowing the actual measure. How do you guys handle small amounts like that when you're in the middle of a rush?

My buddy got fired for dumping a whole palm of salt into a soup during a dinner rush.

My cousin once ruined a whole batch of chili by mixing up sugar and salt.

Honestly, eyeballing it is the only way that works in a real kitchen. If you stop to measure every tiny pinch, you'll fall behind instantly. My hands know what a pinch feels like after years of cooking, and that consistency is more reliable than some textbook number.
