Lost $380 on a garage sale marble sink before I checked the drain spacing

Bought a beautiful old farmhouse sink at a sale in Salina for $380 thinking I'd drop it into my 1920s reno, but the drain holes were 5 inches off center from the cabinet plumbing and nobody local would touch it, so has anyone dealt with this or am I just eating the loss?
