Am I the only one who thinks the 1902 foursquare on Court St in Pekin needs the porch saved, not torn off?
I went to the open house there on Saturday and heard two guys in the kitchen arguing about it, one said the sagging porch is why it's only $27,500 and the other said fixing it right would cost more than the house. It got me thinking about how I see it both ways, saving old wood is the point but a bad porch can rot the whole front wall. Where do you all draw the line on a cheap house, patch it or yank it and start over?
