Am I the only one who thought dry beans were too much hassle until last month?
I always bought canned because soaking seemed like a pain, but a neighbor in Tulsa showed me you can just toss a pound of pinto beans in the slow cooker with water and a chopped onion for 6 hours, no soaking at all. It made 8 servings for about 90 cents total, and now I have a pot going every Sunday. What else have I been avoiding that's actually easier than the can?
