Why do people keep acting like frozen veggies are worse than fresh? They are not.

I keep seeing folks at my local discount grocer grabbing the wilted fresh spinach for $3.50 instead of the big bag of frozen spinach for $1.20. The frozen stuff is picked at peak ripeness and flash frozen right there. It has more nutrients locked in, not less, and it never goes slimy in my fridge after 3 days. Anyone else find frozen broccoli to be way more reliable for stir fries than the fresh stuff that turns to mush?

Oh totally agree, I think the whole 'fresh is best' thing is just marketing brainwashing from when frozen tech was new.

Marketing brainwashing" is a bit much - frozen foods got a bad rap because early frozen tech really did turn veggies into sad, mushy messes. It took decades for the flash-freezing methods to catch up and make them actually good.
