That $5 jar of bulk garlic I grabbed at the Asian market... game changer

I finally stopped buying those tiny plastic jars of pre-minced garlic at the regular store. Spent $5 on a big jar of peeled cloves from H Mart last Tuesday and it's been over two weeks. Still have half left and each clove tastes way fresher. I just chop a few as I cook instead of scooping that mushy stuff. My pasta sauces and stir fries actually taste like garlic now. Anyone else find a cheap bulk swap that made a big difference?

The 2 pound bag of whole black peppercorns I got at the same kind of store for $6 is my go to now. It lasts like a year and the pepper actually has heat and flavor instead of that dusty gray powder from the supermarket. I got a little grinder off Amazon for $8 and now I just crank it fresh over everything. It really does make a difference when you taste the real thing compared to the pre ground stuff. Funny how the cheap options end up being the best ones.

That reminds me, I grabbed a bag of whole cloves from an Indian market on a whim and now I'm grinding it over everything too. It's wild how much better stuff tastes when you're not eating dust from a plastic container that's been sitting on a shelf for months.
