Shoutout to my old pressure cooker that I finally figured out

I got a free pressure cooker from a friend moving out of town like two years ago. For the longest time, I was scared to use it for dried beans because I thought it would explode, so I kept soaking them overnight and boiling them for hours. Last month, I finally looked up a guide and realized you can cook a pound of beans from dry in about 45 minutes with no soak. I wasted so much time and gas, lol. Anyone else have a kitchen tool they were afraid of for way too long?

Saw this article about how traffic delays are up 30% this year. They said road construction is the main culprit.

Is it really that bad though? In my experience, the news always makes these numbers sound worse. They might be counting a five minute slowdown as a "delay." Plus, a lot of that construction is fixing potholes from last winter. I'd rather sit in some traffic now than blow a tire later.
