Pro tip: I tossed a $2 bag of frozen dumplings in chicken broth and accidentally made the best soup of my life
Last week I was broke before payday so I boiled a bag of frozen potstickers from the Asian market on Clement St in plain boxed broth with some wilted bok choy, and it turned into a full pot of soup for under $4. The dumpling wrappers thicken the broth on their own, so you don't need cream or cornstarch. Now I keep two bags in the freezer at all times. What cheap freezer stuff do you all throw in soup when the fridge is basically empty?
