My grocery bill went from $120 a week to under $70 in about two months
I started really planning meals around what was on sale at my local store, especially the meat markdowns. Instead of buying whatever I felt like, I'd grab a cheap pack of chicken thighs or a big thing of ground beef and build the week's food from that. I also stopped buying those little snack packs and started making my own stuff, like a big batch of hummus for the week. The biggest change was buying dry beans and rice in bulk, which is way cheaper than the cans and boxes. Has anyone else cut their food costs by half and what was the one thing that helped you the most?

My buddy did that and his big win was just using his freezer more.

Wait, what does that even mean? Like he just started freezing leftovers, or did he buy a whole second freezer and fill it with bulk meat? I need the actual story here.

Seems like a pretty low bar for a "big win" though.
