My cast iron skillet finally cracked after 15 years of use

I was frying up some potatoes last Tuesday and heard a pop - found a crack running right through the bottom of my old Lodge skillet I got at a garage sale for $8. I tried patching it with some high-heat silicone but that melted off after one more cook. Anyone know a good cheap replacement that won't break the bank?

Skip the cheap stuff and just get another Lodge for 20 bucks, they last forever even if the seasoning comes off.

Man I must be the only person who can mess up a Lodge. I had one that I left on the burner too long trying to sear a steak and the whole seasoning just flaked off in chunks lookin like a bad sunburn. Scoured it down, re seasoned it, and it was back to nonstick glory in a day. For 20 bucks you really can't beat that kind of punishment. Still cheaper than the therapy I'd need if I spent a hundred on something fancy and ruined it.

Is a pan really that big of a deal to worry about?
