Made my own spice blends after getting frustrated paying $5 a jar at the grocery store last month
Last month I was at the store and needed like 4 different spice mixes for a couple recipes I wanted to try. Almost walked out with a $25 tab just for little jars of seasoning. Said forget it and went home. Dug around my cabinets and found I already had most of the individual spices. Looked up a basic taco seasoning recipe online and threw it together in 5 minutes. Tasted better than the store stuff honestly. Now I'm wondering what other blends are worth making at home. Anybody got a go-to recipe for something like a curry powder or an Italian seasoning mix that saves you money?

You mentioned the taco seasoning turning out better than store stuff - I tried the same thing with Italian seasoning and now I make a big batch of that plus a simple garam masala blend that costs pennies compared to what I used to pay.

Wait wait wait, you're telling me you can make garam masala at home for pennies? I never even thought of that, I've been paying like $8 for those little glass jars at the grocery store.
