Hit $50 on my grocery bill for a full week of dinners and it made me wonder about bulk buying

I managed to feed two people for seven nights on just $50 from Aldi in Columbus last month. Chicken thighs, rice, frozen veggies, and eggs carried me through. But my buddy says I could've saved even more if I bought a 25lb bag of rice and a whole pork loin from Costco. Which side works better for keeping costs low long term without wasting food?

Fifty bucks for two people all week, that's solid.

Nah, bulk buying is overrated unless you've got a deep freezer and eat pork loin for two weeks straight. You're doing fine with what you're already doing.

Makes me notice how most people don't even track their grocery spending at all, they just swipe the card and move on. @jason524's post shows the real trick is knowing your prices before you hit the store.
