Changed my tune about frozen vegetables after a trip to the farmer's market
I used to be one of those people who thought frozen veggies were just sad and watery, you know? But then last month I went to the farmer's market downtown and saw the prices for fresh bell peppers and broccoli - like $4 for a single pepper! So I grabbed a bag of frozen mixed vegetables for $1.50 at the store instead and tried roasting them straight from the freezer with some oil and garlic powder. They came out crispy on the edges and honestly better than the fresh stuff I'd been buying. The trick is you don't thaw them first, just spread them on a pan and add a little extra cooking time. Has anyone else had better luck with frozen over fresh for certain recipes?

Is it true you don't need to thaw them? I've been doing that with frozen corn and it's a game changer!

Toss them straight in the pan frozen, just give em a few extra minutes and watch out for splatter.
