Found out my credit union caps cash out refi fees at $1,100, but my old bank quoted $3,400
Last Tuesday I sat down with a loan officer at my credit union in Boise to run the numbers on pulling $45k out of my house, and she mentioned their flat fee structure caps closing costs at $1,100 no matter the loan size. My old bank had quoted me $3,400 in fees on the same house back in 2021, so I dug out that old estimate and compared them line by line last night. Did anyone else find out their lender's fees swing that hard between banks, or is this normal?
