Trimming door jambs with a flush cut saw was a disaster in Nashville
I tried using a flush cut saw on a remodel job last Tuesday to trim the bottom of a hollow core door jamb, and it splintered the laminate face so bad the homeowner noticed before I could even sand it. I ended up ripping out the whole jamb and rebuilding it with a block plane and chisel, which cost me an extra four hours and $90 in material. Has anyone else had better luck with an oscillating multi-tool for this, or is there a trick I'm missing with the saw orientation?
