That time I installed carpet backwards for 3 years until a coworker pointed out the arrows on the backing

I had been laying carpet with the nap running toward the door for every single job until last month when a guy from Dalton told me those little arrows on the backing mean the pile direction should go away from the window, and now I have to redo my whole living room floor - has anyone else missed something that obvious for way too long?

Hold up" is right, that was literally my face when I found them last week. I've been clicking around like a lost puppy for months, turns out I just needed to look up a bit. I've probably got a bunch of stuff I missed just sitting there waiting for me.
