Power stretcher kicked back on me yesterday, check your pins

Was doing a living room in Aurora and the teeth on my power stretcher let go mid-stretch, snapped the tack strip clean off the floor and sent a chunk of wood into my shin. Took me 2 hours to redo the padding and re-stretch the whole room. Anyone else had the pins wear out silently on these things?

Pin wear is real, those little teeth are basically the only thing between you and a clean stretch. Replacing them every year or two is way cheaper than burning a whole afternoon redoing a room. Check the grip on scrap wood before you need it on a real job, that's what I started doing.
