A stair tool for a whole bedroom is brutal on the wrist, but what gets me is nobody ever checks the breaker or the cord first when a kicker quits. Half the time it's just a blown fuse or the plug worked loose, not the tool dying. I'd pop the cover and look at the drive belt too before you drop cash on a new one. Mine cut out mid-run once and it was a 3 dollar belt, not a dead motor.
