Knee kicker vs power stretcher, learned that lesson in a rental house

Used a knee kicker on a 12x18 living room in Memphis because the power stretcher was in the shop, took me 3 extra hours and my knees still hate me. Anyone else ever cheap out on tools to save time and then pay for it twice?

man I feel that pain literally, my knees been shot since I tried to stretch carpet in a hallway with just a knee kicker and a prayer. ended up with ripples so bad the landlord made me redo the whole thing with a rented power stretcher anyway. worst part is I knew better, just thought I could wing it and save a trip, nope, paid double in time and ibuprofen.
