I swore by my old knee kicker for years, but a tricky stair job changed my mind

I was working on a set of curved stairs in a house in Tacoma, and my usual method just wasn't getting the carpet tight on the bullnose. Out of frustration, I grabbed a power stretcher from the truck, even though I always thought they were overkill for stairs. I set it up on the landing and gave it a pull, and the carpet just locked into place perfectly with zero wrinkles. It took me an extra ten minutes, but the result was way cleaner. Has anyone else switched up their stair method for a better finish?

Power stretchers are a game changer for tricky stairs. They get that final pull you just can't get with a kicker alone. It's worth the extra setup time for a perfect finish.

Tacoma? I did a job there last year on some old Craftsman stairs and I would have never thought to use a power stretcher on a landing like that. My brain just says kicker for stairs, end of story. You got me rethinking my whole setup for curved steps now.
