Tried the damp rag trick for glue cleanup. Game changer.

Was doing crown molding in a humid basement last month. Kept getting glue squeeze out on stained wood. One wet rag wiped clean before it dried. Anyone else use this method or got a better one?

Totally feel you on this one, @skyler_adams brought up a solid point about water damage though, that's something I always worry about too.

Is nobody worried about water damage with all that moisture on stained wood? A damp rag might push water into the gaps before the glue sets, causing the wood to swell or the stain to lift later on. I'd rather scrape the excess off dry or use a specialized glue remover to stay safe.
