Remembering when a job in Savannah made me finally switch from my old chalk line to a laser level

Doubt it's that big a deal. My old chalk box worked fine for years.

That Savannah humidity will RUIN a chalk line in about five minutes flat. Lasers just cut through all that moisture and give you a dead-straight line every single time. Honestly, the upgrade feels expensive until you realize you're not constantly redoing work. Total game changer for any kind of finish carpentry or tile.

Ever think about how a laser line changes the way you actually work? With chalk you're always bent over the line, but a laser lets you stand back and see the whole layout from where you'll be looking at the finished job. That shift in viewpoint catches mistakes you'd miss when you're hunched over. It turns a measuring step into part of the design process.
