Pocket hole screw blew through a cabinet face, do I patch or replace?
Last week I was building some upper cabs in my garage in Toledo, and my Kreg jig was set for 3/4 board, but I grabbed a 1/2 inch face frame piece by accident. The screw punched right through the front, left a nasty little blowout. I quick filled it with wood putty and sanded, but you can still see the ring if the light hits it. Would you guys ever live with a patch like that on a paid job, or is it always worth the time to cut a new piece and remake the joint?
