Kept clamping my miter joints too tight until a trim guy in Tulsa told me what it was doing
I was clamping my picture frame corners so hard you could see the wood start to crush a little. A trim guy I worked with for 3 days in Tulsa watched me do it and said I was squeezing the glue right out of the joint. I backed off to where the clamp just holds it snug and my corner gaps got tighter within a week. Never thought about how much glue I was losing by overdoing it. Has anyone else had a joint get worse because you clamped it too hard?
