I finally stopped using glue on my dovetails and it actually worked better

I was building a cherry nightstand in my garage outside Columbus last winter and the humidity made my titebond II foam up and mess up the joints. After cleaning the glue off for the third time I just dry fit everything and clamped it tight, and 6 months later nothing has come loose. Has anyone else tried skipping glue on tight joinery?

My 10 year old dovetail toolbox is still holding up with just wood friction and a few nails. No glue either.

That reminds me of @adam_nguyen7's toolbox, funny how these joints just hold on their own.
