Finally had an old timer tell me I was overcomplicating my dado cuts
He watched me set up a stacked dado set for 10 minutes and just said 'son, just use a router and a straightedge.' I switched to that method last week on a bookshelf job in Cincinnati and saved almost an hour per shelf. Anyone else get humbled by simple advice like that?

Read some article saying confidence beats experience every time though.

@nina147 confidence gets you started but experience finishes the job, a buddy of mine learned that after a router bit ate his straightedge.
