Saw a job fair at the Dayton convention center and half the tables were for trades, not office jobs
Went with my cousin to the career fair at the Dayton Convention Center last Thursday and counted maybe 18 booths for welding, HVAC, and electrical work out of 30 total. I went in thinking it would be all call center stuff, but the line at the sheet metal union table was 12 people deep while the insurance booth sat empty. Made me wonder if I have been looking at job listings all wrong this whole time. Anyone here switch from an office track into a trade and have thoughts on how the prep side works, like apprenticeships vs a 6 month program?
