Picked the unpaid internship over the paid gig, no regrets so far
Had two offers last month. One paid $18 an hour at a local marketing firm in Dayton, the other was unpaid but at a nonprofit doing grant writing. I took the unpaid one because the job duties matched what I actually want to do. Three weeks in, I've already drafted two real grant proposals and sat in on a budget meeting. The paid job would've had me doing data entry all day. Has anyone else made a similar trade-off for experience over money?
