Mock interview with my cousin in Austin exposed a huge resume gap

Last month I asked my cousin, who's a hiring manager at a tech firm in Austin, to run a 20 minute mock interview with me and she stopped us halfway to point out I had zero numbers on my resume. She said, 'every bullet needs a metric or it reads like a wish list,' so I spent two days rewriting my job history to show stuff like 'cut report time by 30%' instead of just 'helped with reports.' Has anyone else had a friend or family member catch something obvious that you completely missed until they said it out loud?
