Hit 500 applications this week, not a single callback until last Tuesday

I've been tracking every submission in a spreadsheet since January and 499 went nowhere, then one hiring manager in Austin actually replied with a video interview invite. Has anyone else found that the response rate spikes after you tweak your resume format, or was it just sheer volume finally paying off?
