Coffee shop owner's question made me rewrite my whole resume

I was grabbing a latte on Tuesday at this spot near Union Station and the owner asked what I did. I said I was prepping for a data analyst role and showed her my resume. She asked why my bullet points listed tasks instead of stuff that happened because of me. That hit different because I'd been copying templates from YouTube for months. I rewrote 3 bullets to show results like cut report time by 40 percent and now I'm getting interviews. Anyone else get feedback from a random stranger that beat every career coach tip you paid for?

That 40% number probably got you interviews because it gives a hiring manager something to picture, not just a job title. Maybe she caught something most career coaches miss, that templates make us all sound like the same robot.
