Am I the only one who got way better results from mock interviews with a friend than from a paid coach?
I paid $150 for two sessions with a career coach in January and walked out feeling good but not really sharper. Then my old roommate in Chicago started doing 20 minute mock interviews with me twice a week over video, just reading questions off a list and making me say my answers out loud. The difference was that she pushed back on my vague answers right away instead of letting me finish and then giving notes after. I got a second round call two weeks after we started. Has anyone else had a friend drill them better than a pro did?
