Watched a guy get promoted over me at the Denver office after I stopped going to Friday lunches
I skipped the team lunches at our Denver office for 8 months because I thought the work would speak for itself. When a senior spot opened up in March, they gave it to a guy who always showed up to those lunches and knew everyone's names. How do you all handle the part where being good at your job is not enough on its own?
