Wasted $300 on a coaching package that just read me a blog post

Signed up for a career coaching thing last fall after a layoff. Thought it would help me fix my resume and interview skills. Turned out the "personalized" plan was literally a list of bullet points I could've found on any free site. The coach even admitted she hadn't read my full work history. I asked for a refund and got back $75 after a fight. Idk, maybe some people get value from that stuff, but mine felt like a scripted sales call. Has anyone else tried those online career coaches and gotten actual useful feedback, or is this just the norm now?
