Using a fake commute to fix my burnout, 3 weeks in

My remote job was blending into my living room so bad I couldn't tell Monday from Saturday... total fog. I tried strict schedules, but that just made it worse. Then I heard about faking a commute, so I started walking around my block twice every morning before logging in, about 20 minutes total. Three weeks later I actually feel like I arrive at work and leave it too, even though my desk is three feet from my bed. Has anyone else built a weird ritual like this that fooled their brain into switching modes?

I read somewhere that our brains use routines as signals for work mode, so a fake commute is basically tricking your own clock. Walking gives you that physical "I'm going somewhere" feeling even if you're just circling the block. It sounds goofy but if it breaks the Monday-through-Saturday fog, that's a win.
