That one Thursday where everything went wrong and then right again
Last Thursday I showed up to a meeting and realized I had the wrong building. By the time I got to the right place, my laptop battery was dead and I had no charger. But then the client laughed it off and said 'happens to the best of us' and we ended up hashing out the whole project plan on a napkin over coffee. Has anyone else had a day that started awful but turned into your best work of the month?

Drove forty minutes to a client site last spring only to realize I forgot the entire folder of paperwork they needed. Sat in my car for a solid five minutes just staring at the steering wheel. Called them up to apologize and they said they were running two hours behind anyway. Ended up getting coffee at a diner down the road and ran into an old colleague who gave me a lead on a project that paid triple what that client was worth. Sometimes getting it wrong is the universe's way of saving you from yourself.

Isn't it wild how the universe seems to have this weird timing thing? Like, you screw up and everything lines up anyway. It's like the days where I forget my lunch at home and end up at that little deli that has the best sandwiches, or I miss a bus and the next one gets me there faster somehow. There's this pattern where the little mistakes just reroute you to something better, and it's almost like your brain was trying to help you out without you even knowing. Makes you wonder if we should just lean into the mess sometimes instead of fighting it.
