That $50 career coach I hired totally wasted my time
Honestly, I thought paying for a career coach would help me finally land a better job, but it just backfired. I dropped $50 on a 30 minute Zoom call with someone from a Facebook ad, and she basically just read off a list of generic tips I could've found online for free. She didn't even look at my resume, just told me to 'network more' without any real plan. Has anyone else thrown money at something like this and felt like they got burned?

$50 is basically two drinks at a bar, not exactly a life-ruining amount.

Jesse_nguyen's not wrong but $50 is still $50 I could've spent on actual useful stuff like a new mouse or something.
