Just got passed over for a team lead spot after 4 years because I never asked for one
My manager pulled me into a room in Denver last Tuesday and gave the lead job to a guy who started 8 months after me, and his only edge was that he flat out asked for it during his review. Everyone kept telling me to just keep my head down and do good work, so I did that for 4 years with zero complaints on my file. Do I go back and tell her I want the next one, or is that just going to look like I'm only saying it because I lost out?

Denver? They flew you out to Denver just to hand the job to someone else? That's brutal lol. Four years of clean work and the only thing that mattered was who opened their mouth, that's wild.
