Chat with a stranger made me question my whole career path

Was grabbing coffee at Dunkin in Burlington last Tuesday and this retired guy starts talking to me about his 40 years as a librarian. Said he never chased promotions just the work he loved. Made me realize I've been climbing a ladder I didn't even pick. Has anyone else had a random conversation that made you rethink your job choices?
