Tried one of those ultralight camp chairs and my back still hates me

Picked up a Big Agnes Skyline UL last summer after reading all those rave reviews about how it weighs nothing. Yeah it's light, I'll give it that. But after three nights in the Sierras I could barely stand up straight in the morning, thing sits way too low and there's zero lumbar support. Learned my lesson that saving a pound ain't worth it when you're uncomfortable every time you sit down. Anybody else find a lightweight chair that doesn't wreck your back?

Huh, that's the thing nobody talks about right? You can have the lightest chair ever made but if your butt is six inches off the ground you're basically sitting on the floor. I tried a friend's Helinox and felt like a toddler at a grownup table. What really helped me was getting one of those cheap folding stools with the backless strap, just tall enough to keep my knees at a normal angle. My back actually thanks me now cause I can lean forward without hunching. Lightweight is overrated when you're miserable every time you sit down to cook dinner.

Grabbed a cheap camp stool from a yard sale. Way better on my back.
