Took me 3 trips to figure out my tent stakes were the issue
Back in May I camped up near Lake Almanor and spent two nights chasing loose guylines in gusty wind. I assumed my pitch was off, so I rewatched setup videos and re-tensioned everything twice. Then I realized the 6 inch aluminum stakes that came with my tent were bending on the first tap in that packed gravel. Swapped to 9 inch steel ones for 20 bucks and the tent didn't budge all weekend. Anyone else blame their own skills before checking the cheap hardware kit?.
