The camp chair collapse that summed up my last project lead

I bought this fancy camp chair after my project lead raved about it (he said it was 'unbreakable'). We took it on a group outing, and within minutes, it folded like a cheap suit. I ended up on the ground, which was pretty funny, but it got me thinking about how often his other ideas fall apart too. The chair's legs snapped right at the joints, kind of like our last deadline. Now I check user reviews before trusting any gear, or any advice from him. It's a good lesson in double-checking facts, you know?

Always believed the "unbreakable" hype. Your chair story is why I check reviews now.

My backpack strap gave out mid-hike... learned my lesson.

Seriously? It's just a strap. Sew it back on or get a new bag, it's not a life changing event. People act like gear failing is some huge tragedy.
