My $30 garage sale tent survived a hailstorm at Lake Wenatchee last July, but the rain fly died
Bought a no name 4 person tent at a garage sale in Wenatchee for $30 three years ago and figured it was junk, but it has held up through maybe 20 trips. Last July a storm rolled in at 2am with marble sized hail and the tent body stayed bone dry while the rain fly shredded into about six strips. I sat inside watching the mesh sag under the hail and honestly it was kind of funny, my buddy in his $400 tent was the one bailing water with a coffee mug. Anyone got a rain fly hack for a tent brand nobody has heard of, or do I just start cutting up a tarp?
