Met a guy at Glacier who changed my tent setup forever

Was at Many Glacier campground last June and this older hiker walked over while I was struggling with my tent guylines. He showed me a simple trucker's hitch knot that took 10 seconds but kept my tent tight through 40mph gusts. Anyone else got a one-trick fix from a stranger that stuck with you?

Yep. Stranger taught me to stake at a 45 degree angle. Game changer.
