Just hit 100 nights in my trusty old tent
I was cleaning it out after a trip to the Red River Gorge and noticed the little tally marks I've been making inside the stuff sack. I bought this tent for a big trip five years ago and it's been through everything from desert heat to mountain rain. It feels like a real win that a piece of gear I use so hard has held up this long without a single major issue. Has anyone else had a tent last this many nights, and what did you do when it finally gave out?

Honestly, is 100 nights over five years that much? I get maybe 20-25 nights a year in mine and it's already looking rough after three. That's like two weekends a month in the good weather. I'd expect any decent tent to handle 100 nights spread out that thin. The real test is when you put 100 nights on it in a single season, that's when stuff starts to really fall apart.

Yeah, the "single season" thing is real. My buddy's thru-hike tent was basically duct tape and hope by the end.
